TE Connectivity Quick Disconnect Terminals

When you have family that knows you work at DigiKey, and they ask if we sell any quick disconnect terminals, the answer is easy as I tell them all about TE Connectivity’s product offering. I often refer to this as my “geeking out” or “my nerdy discussions”, when I start to talk about interconnect products that I am passionate about. Luckily, this family member is a retired engineer who tinkers with all electronics, so it was a perfect time to talk shop. I was able to quickly help them place an order for part numbers A107153CT-ND, A128821CT-ND, A107169CT-ND, A27936CT-ND and more that they happily received the next day!

When looking at durability and adaptability on quick disconnects, also known in the industry as crimp terminals, wire splices such as Bullet, Butt Splices, Ring, Fork, Spade, Piggy-Back, Flag and Straight configurations, under names like Fastin-Faston, Ultra-Pod Faston, Snap-Lug, and AMPOWER, you can find it all with TE. They have a vast product offering that covers a wide array of industries. TE’s Quick Disconnect portfolio includes both insulated and uninsulated terminals, with features like stress-relieved receptacles, positive-lock options, and high-temperature variants. TE’s lineup caters to rigorous industrial demands.

TE has a wide variety of sizes with terminal widths ranging from 0.110″ to 0.312″, accommodating thicknesses of 0.020″ and 0.032″. Base materials include brass and copper, available with nickel, silver, or tin plating for enhanced conductivity and corrosion resistance. Their high-temp versions operate reliably in extreme environments. For mission-critical applications, Snap-Lug power connectors withstand -65°C to +150°C, endure 500 mating cycles, and meet MIL-spec vibration and shock standards. Whether you are looking for a hand tool, or an applicator for your press machine, DigiKey has it all.

For myself, we can’t have enough on hand, or the right wire gauge, so buying a kit, like the A122750-ND, is sometimes a good option. I know we keep some in a baggie at home, our vehicles, and lake place. These little quick disconnects are inexpensive, and when you need one, you need it now! Nothing more frustrating than having to stop everything to run to the store to buy a component that costs pennies. Just remember your wire gauge and, to quickly find the one you’re looking for, consider insulated quick disconnects. The insulation colors will tell you the AWG, such as red, blue and yellow. Red is for smaller wires like 22-18 AWG, blue is for medium 16-14 AWG and yellow is for your larger wires like 12-10 AWG.

Conclusion

Whether you're wiring home appliances or building aerospace power systems, TE Connectivity's Quick Disconnect terminals provide dependable, efficient, and versatile solutions. From standard FASTON tabs to robust, tool-free Snap-Lug power connectors, every component is crafted to deliver secure, repeatable performance across industry-leading applications.
