X* Series Aluminum Backshells

Amphenol Positronic precision-machined one-piece aluminum banded backshells for D-sub connectors feature a banded elliptical, slotted, and knurled entry ideal for 360° EMI shielding and protection. The X* series is available in six shell sizes and offers a range of entry options, including standard-profile top, front, 45° side, and 90° side entries, as well as a low-profile top entry for space-constrained applications.

The one-piece construction minimizes EMI leakage and environmental ingress while offering a lightweight, spacious design that resists loosening or misalignment in high-shock environments.

Offered in a variety of platings and available with fixed or rotating jackscrews, these backshells perform reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to +125ºC, making them an excellent choice for demanding environments.

Each series features the following entry options: XP, top entry; XW, top entry, low-profile; XR, front entry; XK, 45° side entry; and XS, 90° side entry.
